
Ben is a professional freelance Clarinetist and Saxophonist living and working in London, England.
Over the past 30 years his work has spanned over many different genres of music, from Classical Soloist to Big Band leader, and pretty much everything else in between.
His career has taken him all over the world working in fields as diverse as West End Musical Theatre, Symphony Orchestras, Symphonic Wind Bands, Chamber Ensembles and Dance Bands.
Performances include the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Northern Ballet Sinfonia, The Royal Ballet Sinfonia, The London Contemporary Orchestra, The London Musical Theatre Orchestra, The Chameleon Arts Orchestra and Sir Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures Orchestra among others. He is also an active session musician, with many solo recordings recorded for the National Theatre and the Old Vic Theatre Company.
For five years Ben was Reed 2 (Clarinet & Alto Saxophone) on the smash hit West End Musical ‘BILLY ELLIOT’ at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London. After a mammoth ten year run the show closed in April 2016, and now Ben is enjoying a busy freelance career on a variety of Shows on a variety of instruments!
Recent work included a year long run of “Young Frankenstein the Musical” at the Garrick Theatre in London, the "Brain" child of the iconic producer Mel Brooks.
